The final week of the regular season begins Tuesday. The Brook Hill A team boys' 18s looks to rebound against Center Court Tuesday in Watchung, following a tough a 2-1 loss last week against Westfield. The B team travels to Roxiticus. Brook Hill fell to Glen Ridge, 2-1, last week.

The boys 15s, which tied first place Noe Pond, 2-2, last week will travel to the Summit Tennis Club Thursday. The girls 18s team, a 3-0 loser to Copper Springs last week, plays host to Westfield Thursday at 1:30 p.m.

The team wishes a speedy recovery to coach Jessica Bender, who tore ligaments in her ankle during one of her own training sessions at Brook Hill two weeks ago. She hopes to return to her coaching duties within the next two weeks.

Brook Hill put up some good results on the tennis court winning three of four team matches in New Jersey Junior Tennis League competition.

Jason Scalera, a second doubles all conference player from Watchung Hills Regional High School, rallied from an 0-3 deficit to beat Brian Liebeskind, 6-3, 6-0, at first singles to lead Brook Hill to a 3-0 victory over rival Copper Springs in an A Division boys’ 18s match in Watchung.

Brian is the younger brother of Brook Hill team coach Brandon. Also posting easy victories were Bobby Gorczakowski and Adam Vidal at second and third singles.

Ben Forzani and Anthony Salort each won at singles to lead Brook Hill over Minisink, 2-1, in A B Division match in Chatham. Salort rallied to win a marathon match at second singles in the 90 degree temperatures. Both Brook Hill teams improved to 2-1.

The boys 15s team won all but second singles to beat Center Court of Chatham, 3-1, in an A Division match in Watchung. Gorczakowski, Andrew Wu, Kevin Sun and Michael Chiang all posted victories.

Brook Hill, using both varsity and JV hopefuls, improved to 1-1-1, following a 2-2 tie with Westfield last week.

The girls 18s team dropped a hard fought 3-0 match to Center Court in Chatham.
